Why Chattanooga?

If you haven't heard for some strange reason...I will be attending the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga this fall! Every time I tell someone I'm going there I get asked, why? Okay, have you seen it? No, seriously. It's beautiful. 

In case you don't know me, I have lived in the Memphis area my entire life and I don't hate Memphis, but I do want to go somewhere else. My heart longs to explore and Chattanooga is the perfect place for me to do so. I may not seem like the outdoorsy type by the looks, but I love the outdoors! As if the city of Chattanooga isn't beautiful enough, the campus is even better! 

In case you missed it, that last picture does have a lazy river AND a water slide, not that I'll be one to spend much time there but it's there for my use! You'll also find the future location of my wedding in the third picture, I'm determined to make that happen. 

Long story short, I want change. I understand if I go to Memphis I will still meet so many new people and blah blah blah. You think I haven't heard that one? Well I have, and it's old. My brother toured Chattanooga when I was in 8th grade and I tagged along, that was the year I discovered my dream school. It's hard for me to imagine going anywhere else. I will openly admit that this journey is going to be very very very very very expensive (duh) but I'm thankful to have parents that believe in me and are willing to help me as much as possible. I understand that I will save so much money by attending University of Memphis, but what's the point of being miserable for four years? Once again, not hating on Memphis, but I truly long for something new. 

So no, I am not like most teens and I am not attending a school far away from home to get away from mom and dad, honestly I would bring them with me if I could. And no, I don't hate where I live now. I just want an adventure and I know that Chattanooga is the best place for me to experience that. 

UPDATE: ONE MORE MONTH OF HIGH SCHOOL!!!!
