High School In Review // The Best Moments

In case you've been under a rock and didn't know, I graduated high school! Honestly, it doesn't seem like that big of a deal but the next chapter in my life is terrifying. I'm almost a grown up! I can go to actual jail, not that I will, but still! Anyway, here are some of the best and worst times of my high school career.

My sophomore year I got the honor to perform on the Orpheum stage!
It may have been with 50 other students, but what matters is how
much fun I had and all of the incredible people I met.

Also during my sophomore year, I was one of my favorite roles.
A bird girl. I don't care that I was a "background role." There
are no such things has "background roles" when you make it your own
and if you feel like all eyes are on you, that's the point. Not really.

I must have a thing for birds and I must resemble one, because freshman year I
was a goose. At first, I was so upset that I got cast as the goose, but by the time that it
came to perform I would have no other part. Shea was a bonus.

I'm pretty sure this picture speaks for itself. At the
very last minute I got invited to go to the Taylor Swift concert
and I was literally this close to her.

Freshman year I attended my very first Thespian Conference and it soon became
my favorite thing to look forward to. I tried to become a circus person and failed
miserably.
Thes Con is where I met the one and only Heather Leslie, who soon
became my best friend.

Freshman Year I also met Natalie. Natalie changed my life in ways she could
never imagine. She kept me out of the house and pushed me to stay
connected to Jesus.

I never attended Panther Camp as a student, but as a leader it was amazing.
The panther costume on the other hand, ew.

Thank you to AP US History for bringing me across this amazing guy.

I got murdered?? It may seem like a buzzkill but
getting killed on stage is one of the funnest things you will
ever experience. It gave me the opportunity to hang out in
the light booth during the second act and play cards, does it get better than that?

My sister got married and I gave a killer speech about peeing my pants the first
time I met my now brother-in-law. True story.
My junior year I didn't get cast in the Spring Musical and I thought I had it in the bag.
At first, it seemed like it was the worst thing to happen ever. But then I was introduced to a chance to
help design costumes, hair, and make-up. Well, long story short, I got nominated for an award at the
Orpheum High School Musical awards.

I don't know how, but my junior year I was nominated for Homecoming court.
I could've asked a cute boy or even my dad to escort me on this special night,
but instead I decided to ask Dalton. There was nothing better than seeing the smile
on Dalton's face when we walked on the field. Dalton has autism and that doesn't even matter
because he has a heart of gold and the smile that can light up the whole world.

Friday Night Lights are my favorite lights. Senior year I made sure to go to every football game
I could. And I have no regrets. I was honored to be apart the best student section in the Midsouth.
Pep Crew was the best decision. Although it was frustrating sometimes,
The pep rallies got better with time.

Senior year I made an irrational decision to be in a pageant at school.
But, it became one of my best memories. I didn't care about winning, I met some
girls that were the sweetest. Many laughs were shared behind the scenes and I will never forget that.

My second old lady personality in high school. Except this time I got to have my
best friend off stage on stage. Seriously, I have never been a part of such a tight knit
cast. I loved being on stage with some of my best friends and I am proud that was my last show.

We can't forget the infamous Mr.Rogers. He ticked me off a lot, but more importantly
he became like an Uncle to me. I was able to talk to him and he encouraged me through
all of the ups and downs of high school. If there is one teacher I will never forget, it's him.

MY LAST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL! It's kind of strange when you're about to leave
a place. I became close with people I barely talked to during the 4 years of high school.
It was like we became a family, a family I will always love.

Senior prom, of course. Prom isn't a great night for everyone but it was a
great night for us. I can't decide what I loved more: dancing the night away with you
or post prom at the bowling alley and kicking your butt.
FINALLY! Graduation. Enough said.
